Firefly Lane Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Plot, Trailer

Nowadays, most of the series comes with the same cliché plot of two people meeting each other, spending time together, having a fight, drifting their ways apart, and getting back together. Making a separate path, ‘Firefly Lane’ breaks this plot stereotype and has brought something refreshing for its fans to watch.

‘Firefly Lane’ is based on a renowned novel by a US author named Kristin Hannah. The show picturize two bffs and the hurdles they face in their friendship as well personal lives. The first season of this show starts with two characters named Tully Hart (played by ‘Katherine Heigl’) and Kate Mular (played by ‘Sarah Chalke’), who lives on the same titular Firefly Lane as neighbors and have become best friends since their 8th grade.

The ten episodes of the first season portray time from their early days of friendship in the 1970s to their college days and finally to their midlife problems in the early 2000s. This continuation of their bond through different stages of their lives shows how powerful and beautiful female friendship can be.

With midlife, problems come more drama, thrill, and tension. All these factors add an addictive angle to the show. It’s expected from the starting of season 1 that it would end with Tully and Kate building their friendship to the unbreakable point; however, the show took a turn because of some confrontation shown in the last few episodes of season 1.

Then after further scenes, they both were seen having an emotional moment at a funeral where Kate said to Tully that she never wanted to see her again.

  • Episode 2: On The Road

Opinions of the Cast for Firefly Lane Season 2

When a journalist asks actress Roan Curtis who played the role of young Kate, regarding season 2, she said she wanted to have a cute love story. She wants her to be awkwardly shy around a guy and then wants Tully to help her best friend through that entire love scene.

Actor Ben Lawson, who played the role of Johnny, said that he is not very sure about his appearance in season 2. On being asked about the fight between Tully and Kate, he said it might be something to do with Marah because the entire show depicts such a strong friendship bond between the two women. Nobody wants to see a man coming in and ripping that bond.

One of the lead actresses, Katherine Heigl, who played the role of Tully, seemed to be highly excited for this new season during her interview with Washington Post. She said she couldn’t wait to get back in Tully’s shoes for at least one more season.
