Friends from College Season 3 Release Date, Cast and More

Friends from College is an American television comedy series with some elements of romantic affairs created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. Netflix gave it a green signal, and later on, all the episodes were made available for the regular content viewers of Netflix.

The makers have released 2 seasons, and the second one seemed to be more liked by the viewers. But unfortunately, despite the huge star cast and familiar household names, the first season didn’t live up to the audience’s expectations.

The mere fact that several bloggers and critics called out the series for just being a crowded slow, and cringy series made it a little less popular among other series. Cobbie Smulders, well known for her fabulous work in “How I Met Your Mother” and “The Avengers,” was a part of this star cast, yet it didn’t skyrocket the success of this series.

Is Friends from College Season 3 Release Date confirmed?

Friends from College made its appearance as a comedy series on Netflix around July 14, 2017, but the series was accepted as original by Netflix earlier itself. Season 1 consisted of several half-hour episodes which targeted a large group of the audience having a busy life, making it a total of eight half-hour series.

The eight-episode season two premiered on January 11, 2019. Later on, around February, the makers called off the series. Although the series was not able to perform as well as a light-hearted comedy series, it still gained viewership for various other reasons, irrespective of the weak storyline. Therefore, we can just assume that the Friends from College season 3 release date will arrive, but the chances are very slim.

Friends from College Cast

  • Jae Suh Park as Marianne, a hippie yoga instructor, and an unemployed actress

All the actors are expected to be returning in their old forms as the Friends from College season 3 Cast.

“Friends from College” coming with a new trailer?

Several fan-made trailers and speculation videos are present on all platforms, but no official date for the release of the Friends from College season 3 trailer has been made by the production house yet. Unfortunately, Netflix also seems to be silent about it. However, we can hope for a miracle any time soon.

Friends from College Storyline

The Friends from college storyline showcases a bunch of Harvard graduates who are in their late 40s and are still figuring their lives out. It is a romantic comedy series with the twist of a clumsy Worklife, secret affairs, and existential crises during the latter decade of life.

Although all of them are Harvard graduates, their way of approaching situations and choices in life seems like a dart play. The story keeps giving us flashbacks of the mistakes made by the characters, the constant urge to find true love, and complex relationships with their exes.

But this gives a good fun perspective to a 20-year-old closely tied friendship where every person is not perfect, yet their friendship completes them. This could have been a good series if the storyline was up to the mark and had the full potential to be among one of the legendary rom-com series.

What are Friends from College Renewal Status?

Despite all the efforts made by the creators and all the crowd of a huge star cast, to be truthful, the series lacked the true spirit of a comedy-drama. The response of the critics and the viewers was not that cheerful, so a Friends from College renewal in the near future is not expected.

The Conclusion

As the name suggests, Friends from College is a tragic comedy series where a surprise get-together of college friends after so many years leads to a domino effect in their lives. Unfortunately, the ratings given by major platforms like rotten tomatoes and IMDb were between mid to low.

The Metacritic scores were pretty low, and people didn’t even hesitate to state that this bunch of talented actors was not enough to save the disastrous and underwhelming series. The creator, Stoller, even thanked the audience for bearing with the cringy and over-the-top stretchy script. But for now, no Friends from College season 3 premiere date is expected.
