Sydney Sweeney is an American actress. She is known for her roles as Lynette on the HBO series Euphoria and as Deb in the Netflix film The Haunting of Hill House.
Sweeney was born in Arlington, Texas. Her first acting role was in a school production of Annie. Sweeney attended Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas.
In 2019, Sweeney starred in the HBO series Euphoria as Lynette, a high school student who is struggling with addiction and mental health issues. The show was met with mixed reviews, but Sweeney’s performance was praised by most critics. In a review for The Hollywood Reporter, Tim Goodman wrote, “Sydney Sweeney practically steals the show as Lynette, a confident, asexual young woman who is addicted to pills.”
In 2020, Sweeney appeared in the Netflix film The Haunting of Hill House as Deb, a young woman who is haunted by her past. The film was met with positive reviews and Sweeney’s performance was praised by critics. In a review for Slant Magazine, Jamie Righetti wrote, “Sydney Sweeney gives a heartbreaking performance as Deb, whose self-harm scars are hidden beneath long sleeves and whose pain is palpable in every scene.”
Sydney Sweeney Marvel Entry
- Sydney Sweeney is eager to join Sony’s Marvel Universe after an outstanding year on HBO’s The White Lotus and Euphoria.

Sydney Sweeney Marvel Character Name
What we don’t know is how Sydney Sweeney marvel will be used. Because she’s blonde and young, there’s speculation that this might be the way Sony introduces either Gwen Stacy or Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, into the MCU.
Since Black Cat and Gwen are equally attractive, we’d choose Black Cat over Gwen, who appears to be reserved for a genuine meet-up with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in a high school-age Spider-Man film, and would make her his second Euphoria-based love interest.
But we’re not sure why Black Cat would be a supporting character in a Madame Web film instead of just getting her own film, which makes far more sense than a Madame Web movie. These days, Spider-Man rights and plans are tough to figure out, so who knows?

Why She accept The Role?
According to reports, Sweeney was offered the part because she wanted to be a part of the first female-led superhero film in this universe, but it’s not clear who she’ll be playing, and I hope it’s not simply like Dakota Johnson’s oddball best pal.
She’s most likely a co-superhero or the film’s main villain, though we are not at a loss for serious possibilities since we don’t even believe Black Cat is correct, given the overall scenario.
