1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3

One of Marvel’s ventures that comes out in the year 2023 is Guardians of the Galaxy. The film revolves around the Guardians’ fates through Phase Three, with James Gunn being back in the director’s chair. It’s easy to speculate wildly about Vol.3 that is set to release after Thor: Love and Thunder.

Vol. 3 presumably sees Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) searching for his love, Gamora (Zoe Saldana) while the heartthrob Rocket continues to get over the absent Odinson.

Before Gunn’s temporary departure, he referred to the film as being a conclusion to the story he had begun telling in the first installment, so it is quite possible that the film would have an Endgame-like resolution. It was in the Disney Investor Day presentation that Feige had revealed the release date of the film and announced that it would be in 2022.

The Production began in November of 2021 with director Gunn releasing a photo of the cast, that acted as a surprise reveal of Peacemaker’s Chukwudi Iwuji in a role that still remains unknown.

Release Date: May 5, 2023

2.Ant Man and the Wasp:Quantamania

The movie picks up sometime after Endgame and shows that Scott still needs to put his life back together, which he’s attempted to multiple times in vain. This time though, he has become an acknowledged hero, which should help some.

However one imagines that his relationship with Cassie will be fairly different. Also, Hope (Evangeline Lilly), Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), and Hank (Michael Douglas), would need to adjust to life after returning from Thanos’s snap that had wiped out half of the entire world’s population. Their attempt at finding a new normal will be upset by the arrival of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), a time traveler with a connection to the Marvel universe.

Release Date: July 28, 2023

3. The Marvels

This is another one of the upcoming Marvel movies from its phase 4. In January 2020, Marvel reportedly hired WandaVision staff writer Megan McDonnell to begin drafting a sequel to Captain Marvel. Brie Larson will return as Carol, and considering how vital they were to the first film, you can probably expect Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn to return as Fury and Talos.

In August of 2020, Candyman director Nia Costa took the director’s chair from the first film’s Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who was not expected to return. In December 2020, Feige revealed at the Disney Investor Day Presentations that Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani and WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris would be joining the cast, confirming the film will take place in the modern-day MCU.

Ever since Black Panther II’s move to July 8, 2022, the film has moved out of its release window of July.

Release Date: February 17, 2023

4. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

What We Think Might Happen: The tragic death of Chadwick Boseman on August 28, 2020, after battling cancer, had halted plans for Black Panther II. However, over time they continued. The sudden and awful casting change had only delayed production by a couple of months and filming began in July of 2021. The story has now been navigated in a way that shows Black Panther’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) taking on a larger role.

Meanwhile, reports have also surfaced that actor Tenoch Huerta might be in talks to play the primary antagonist. Out of all the top upcoming marvel movies, fans had been the most eager for this to anticipate how the writers and producer would play the story out since Chadwick Boseman’s demise.

If speculations are to be believed, the film shall now detail the succession of Shuri to the throne and her attempts to become the next Black Panther, while her, claim is challenged by M’Baku (Winston Duke), and Huerta’s character without a doubt, tries to upset the balance of power in Wakanda.

The title for the sequel was revealed in May 2021, as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Later that month, Danai Gurira also confirmed her return as Okoye. Production began at the end of June and July, Winston Duke told the famous house Collider that he was returning to play M’Baku in the sequel.

In a move, that proved to be quite a surprise to fans, Marvel revealed that Natalie Portman would be returning to the series as the new Mighty Thor, a masterstroke twist that has been pulled from a comic book series by Jason Aaron, Russell Dauterman, and others, with the same title.

Meanwhile, Tessa Thompson, who garnered immense love from fans in Thor: Ragnarok will as return as Valkyrie, who is now the king of New Asgard and must find a Queen, and we assume Loki, as played by Tom Hiddleston will return to cruelly tease brother, who’s now nameless, in either of his manifestations.

6. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Director Scott Derrickson has finally signed on to return in December of the year 2018. However, his involvement with the film ended in early January of the year 2019 when he had departed the production and had cited “creative differences” as the reason responsible. His replacement is Sam Raimi, who is responsible for bringing to life masterpieces such as Spider-Man and The Evil Dead, who is more than willing to join the sorts of the Marvel Cinematic universe.

We also see Benedict Cumberbatch returning as the “Sorcerer Supreme,” alongside Elizabeth Olsen who joins him and reprises her role of Scarlet Witch Or Wanda. Derrickson had originally called, this venture “the first scary MCU movie.” However, fans believe Marvel’s unease with this mission statement is the reason responsible for the director’s departure. Mordo’s (Chiwetel Ejiofor) return had been teased at the end of the first film, and joining him will be Rachel McAdams and Benedict Wong.

It is safe to say that out of all upcoming marvel movies, this is one of the most awaited.
