Wakfu Season 4  is the final installment of the highly anime-inspired French animated television series. It is being animated by the same production as the last 3 seasons of the show, Ankama Animation. The director of the series is Anthony “Tot” Roux, and the character design development is under Xavier “Xa” Houssin and Kin “Tcho” Etinoff. 

The 3 seasons of Wakfu got premiered on Netflix, and Wakfu Season 4 is expected to stream on the same platform. Most of the episodes of this series are animated in France, with only a few special episodes being animated in Japan, mainly animated over Adobe Flash Software. The first season of this show was aired with 26 episodes on October 30, 2008.

Will there be a Wakfu Season 4? ( Release Date ) 

Wakfu is in its final season with Wakfu Season 4, and the earlier three seasons were released in 2008, 2011, and 2017. The final season was expected to release in April 2021 and then in December 2021 but kept getting delayed due to the global health situation of COVID-19.

But Wakfu Season 4 is set to release sometime in 2022 as, according to reports, Ankama Animation has been collecting funds through campaigns to release the final season of their beloved franchise.

  • Rubilax got the voice of Gérard Surugue (French); Keir Stewart (Season 1-2 & OVAs), Doug Erholtz (Season 3) (English)
  • Evangelyne is played and voiced by Geneviève Doang (French), Jules de Jongh (Season 1-2 & OVAs), and Kira Buckland (Season 3) (English).
  • Ruel Stroud is voiced by Patrick Bethune (French); Hugo Chandor (Season 1-2 & OVAs), Keith Silverstein (Season 3) (English)
  • Junior: A pig-like mole creature called a dhreller is said to be the usual pet of Enutrofs.
  • Adamaï got the voice of Dorothee Pousseo (French), Joanna Ruiz (Season 1-2 & OVAs), Cristina Valenzuela (Season 3) (English).
  • Grufon is voiced by Damien Da Silva (French); Taylor Clarke-Hill (English).
  • Elely & Flopin are voiced by Caroline Lallau (French), Jules de Jongh (OVAs), and Cristina Valenzuela (Season 3) (English). Flopin is voiced by Karl-Line Heller (French), Julie-Ann Dean (OVAs), and Marcy Edwards (Season 3). The twin children of Sir Percedal of Sadlygrove and Evangelyne.

Season 4 Storyline revolves around a 12-Year-old boy named Yugo, who starts searching for his lost real family after discovering that he has superpowers. The show progresses dramatically as he meets new, more interesting, and powerful characters.

Yugo started with the ability to make portals for teleportation with his hands and then further discovered more of his powers. 

There are many twists and turns, including him finding his lost demon brother, and in the final season, as the trailer reveals, there are many more characters and stories to continue.

The series is sure to return with the Final Wakfu Season 4 after the popularity of their trailer released almost two years ago. The 3 seasons of Wakfu got released on Netflix. Wakfu Season 4 is expected to stream on the same platform later this year as it received a huge amount of positive reviews with an IMDb rating of 8.2/10.
